Brightlingsea Schools PTA

The PTA has been an integral part of the schools community for a number of years. In its time they have raised thousands of pounds, which has been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s educational experience and the school’s facilities.

However, the  PTA is about much more than simply fundraising, it is also an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.  It is fun too - just ask any of the Committee members.

All families are automatically members of the Association when their child joins our schools.

The internet can be great fun. You can chat to your friends, play games and learn about new things. But sometimes things happen which can make you upset. People may say mean things which make you feel sad, or you may see something that you don’t like.

If this happens, you must remember it’s not your fault. TELL AN ADULT YOU TRUST if you are upset or worried about something that has happened to you. They can help you to report it to us at CEOP.

At Brightlingsea Junior School we are introducing the Thrive Approach. Every child needs to feel valued, involved and appreciated. We know more now than ever before about what helps to develop healthy curious minds and happy, confident and creative children. If children have been emotionally thrown off track, either temporarily or over longer periods, Thrive helps us understand the needs being signalled by their behaviour and gives us targeted strategies and activities to help them re-engage.Visit the Thrive Approach website to find out more https://www.thriveapproach.com/
